Real Time PCR
Cepheid's Smartcycler is the only random access, modular PCR instrument. Capable of testing 16 different protocols simultaneously in a single instrument. Cepheid's SmartTube product is a sealed pressurised poloypropolene tube designed to minimise the risk of amplicon contamination, maximise heat transfer and optomise optical sensitivity.

Homogenisation tubes
For automated lysis Stretton Scientific offer a range of pre-filled homogenisation consumables. The pre-filled sterilised tubes are supplied with a range of grinding media selected to optimise applications. The beads range from 2.8mm steel beads for highly resistant tissue such as bone and hair down to 0.1mm glass beads for bacteria,spores and yeast. High resistant format also available. The range is supplied as bags containing 50 tubes.
